Project description
About Masmo
The planned development will transform Solhagavägen into an urban street featuring a dedicated bicycle lane and double-sided building frontage with active ground floors, enhancing safety and reinforcing the central corridor leading to the Vårby Udde development area north of the motorway. The square adjacent to the metro station will be upgraded, with opportunities for new services at street level. Buildings along the street are arranged in pairs atop a shared base structure, enabling active ground-floor uses and integrated parking solutions.

The area
Masmo metro station was inaugurated in 1972. The original plans for a residential development on Masmoberget were later abandoned, and the area surrounding the station remains sparsely developed to this day. The planned construction will be situated directly adjacent to the metro station. Existing development in the area primarily consists of the Myrstuguberget residential neighborhood, which climbs the hillside between Lake Albysjön and the Botkyrka highway, as well as the approximately 300-meter-long slab building known as Ormen Långe.
